Windsor is scheduled to host one of the largest car events in Northern Colorado, the Windsor Cruise In Car Show, Sunday, September 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Eastman Park, during the annual Harvest Festival, which is held over Labor Day weekend.
“This is one of the most exciting shows we organize for car enthusiasts. Attendees will not be let down, whether one is a car fanatic or simply appreciates the aesthetics of all things cars, this year will surely bring out what we missed last year,” said Lexie Spykstra, recreation coordinator for Windsor’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Department. “Before COVID-19 paused all gatherings, we saw over 300 cars participate. This year, we expect an even larger crowd and increased registration for car entries.”
The Cruise In Car Show will categorize participating vehicles in the following years: 20s and older, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90’s and newer, trucks, and diamond in the rough vehicles that showcase unique one-of-a-kind features.
Registration is now open for anyone 16 years and older. To register, call 970-674-3500 or visit www.recreationliveshere.com to complete the online registration form. The registration fee is $15 for those who register by noon on September 3 and $20 the day of registration. Participants are encouraged to jump online, complete the form early or they also have the option to cruise on in the day of the event, by 9:30 a.m., to be included in the show.
There is no entry fee for car enthusiasts interested in stopping by, viewing the cars, meeting and mingling with the owners of the vehicles. The event will also feature music from a live DJ, food trucks, and an opportunity for people to vote for their favorite car right from their mobile device.
