Recreation Flag Football
The Windsor Flag Football league's focus is to teach fundamental of football in a team setting. Each age group will be split into two different divisions: Draft or Open (if overall registration numbers allow). Participants will learn football fundamentals with the exception of tackling or blocking (non-contact league) with an emphasis of equal participation and winning being secondary. Teams play 5 vs. 5 and are scheduled for six games with an end-of-season playoff if scheduling constraints permit.

- 6th through 8th Grade Flag
Registration / Seasons
Spring Season:
- Registration begins: Early December
- Registration deadline: Mid February
- Practices are March through May.
- Games are April through May.
Fall Season:
- Registration begins: Early April
- Registration deadline: Mid July
- Practices are August through October.
- Games begin are September through October.

The Tackle Football program is offered in conjunction with two different leagues, Northern Colorado Youth Football Alliance (NCYFA) and Coal Creek Midget Football League (CCMFL). More information about both leagues is listed below.
Norther Colorado Youth Football Alliance
The Northern Colorado Youth Football Alliance is a collaborative effort between Windsor, Fort Collins and Greeley Recreation Departments. Windsor teams will practice in Windsor, and games will be held in Windsor, Fort Collins and Greeley. Participants are placed onto teams according to grade.
This league has an equal playing time rule. Games last about an hour. Teams are scheduled for 6 to 8 games.
All head coaches are certified through USA Football and includes concussion training.

Assessments
Players and coaches must attend their respective assessment day to be assigned to a team (only if enough players are registered to form more than one team in a division).
Coal Creek Midget Football League (CCMFL)
This football league is organized through the Coal Creek Midget Football League (CCMFL) and most teams are located along the Front Range and Northern Denver metro area. Windsor teams practice in Windsor and have an equal mix of home and road games.
Participants are placed into divisions according to age. A player's weight may prohibit them from playing certain positions. This league does not have an equal playing time requirement.
The league follows 11-man National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) rules with league specific additions or changes. Teams are scheduled for 6 to 8 games plus end of season playoff. All head and assistant coaches are certified through USA Football and includes concussion training.
Residency Requirement
Players must live within Windsor Town limits or live within Weld RE-4 School District boundaries or attend a Weld RE-4 School.

Please note: The division is based on the players' age as of June 1 of the current year.
Registration/Season
- Registration begins: Early April.
- Registration deadline: Early July
- Practices are August through November (3 times per week)
- Games are August through November (Saturdays and some weeknights)
Cost
The cost for the league is $145, which includes:
- Helmet
- League fee
- Practice pants and jersey
- Shoulder pads
Additional costs are approximately $125 for game jerseys, pants and socks (purchased through coach).
