Memorial Bench and Trail Engraving Program

The Dedication Program offers donors an opportunity to purchase a dedication bench or trail engraving to recognize or honor a personal event or loved ones.

Bench Dedication

The Bench Program offers donors the opportunity to purchase a bench in honor of a loved one. The benches are placed in approved areas of need throughout the town’s open space and trails. Benches are 6 feet wide and have a black powder-coat finish. No personal decorations or mementos may be added. The Town of Windsor has two options:

• $4,000 - Strap iron bench with engraved plaque attached to the bench.
• $4,500 – Strap iron bench with engraved stone plaque set in concrete.

The commemoration will run the life of the bench, at least 10 years, after which time you may have the option to replace the bench. Once purchased, the dedication bench becomes the property of the Town of Windsor and is maintained to the best extent possible. The Town of Windsor maintains the right to relocate a bench as needed.

Trail Engraving Program

The Trail Engraving Program offers donors the opportunity to have a loved one’s name engraved into a section of concrete in one of Windsor’s town managed trail systems. The engraving will be located at opposite corners of a slab (10’X10’) concrete. The engraving area is approximately 12”X12” and is oriented so that trail users can read the inscription in each direction of travel. No personal decorations or mementos may be added. The commemoration will run the life of the cement, typically 10 years, and once dedicated remains the property of the Town of Windsor and is maintained to the best extent possible.
